CLEVELAND, Ohio – January 25, 2020 - Following back-to-back conference victories, TT Wright was named North Coast Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week, as announced the conference office on Monday afternoon.
This marks the second conference player of the week accolade for Wright this season.
The junior guard had a career night in the 81-78 double-overtime victory over Kenyon tallying 34 points, before posting a game-high 24 points and seven rebounds in the 76-63 win over Wooster.
"TT has been more focused and determined to compete at a high level for her and her teammates during conference play right now," Head Coach Alex Dellas said. "She was a major reason for our success last week, although it was truly a team effort, and I'm so proud of how she's helping to lead our team."
Wright is averaging 19.9 points per game, which ranks second in the conference and 27th in the nation.
"TT has one of the toughest jobs on the court," Dellas said. "She's being guarded by the best defenders and she's getting assigned the hardest matchups. But, she thrives on those matchups."
Wright and the rest of the women's basketball team will return to the court on Wednesday, Jan. 29 as they take on Denison in Granville, Ohio. The conference matchup with the Big Red is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
