WOOSTER, Ohio - Having had 11 days off thanks to weather delay, and two home doubleheaders postponed, the Terrier baseball team opened their conference season against #6 Wooster on Thursday.
Hiram played as the home team despite being on the road, as the doubleheader was originally scheduled for Wednesday at home.
The Terriers fell in both games of the doubleheader as the number 6 team in the Nation combined to score 48 runs between the two games.
Hiram got two runs in the first game in the bottom of the ninth as pinch hitter Luke Brown came through with a two-run double.
Game two saw the Terriers collect four runs, including a two-run double by Vince Suso in the bottom of the seventh.
Wooster captured game one, 28-2 and game two, 20-4.
Hiram will get back to work on Saturday, April 7 as they are scheduled to take on Wittenberg. The matchup with the Tigers is slated for a noon start.
