Kyle Jefferson enters his third season with the Hiram College men’s basketball program as an assistant coach and the recruiting director.
With the Terriers, Jefferson has helped coach three All-NCAC honorees, including Kelvin Jones, who was named First-Team All-NCAC in 2018.
Jefferson joined the Terriers from the Cleveland Cavaliers, where he's served as a youth program basketball coach since June 2017.
Prior to joining the Terriers, Jefferson spent a season as an assistant coach for the Ohio Basketball Club 16U team.
Previously Jefferson served as the freshman boys head basketball coach at Aurora High School for the 2016-17 season.
During his time with Aurora High School, Jefferson also was an assistant coach for the Ohio 16U Basketball Club in Cleveland, Ohio. Jefferson also served as a basketball operations intern with Cleveland State University during the 2011-12 season under Head Coach Gary Waters.
Jefferson started his coaching career as the head team manager for the Bowling Green State women's basketball team under Head Coach Curt Miller. During his time with the program, the Falcons went 108-24, winning four-straight Mid-American Conference (MAC) East Division Titles and two outright MAC Championships. The Falcons also made it to the MAC Tournament Championship game three-out-of-four of Jefferson's years with the program, reaching the postseason all four years (2 NCAA Tournament appearances and 2 NIT appearances) as well.
Jefferson earned his bachelor's degree in sports management from Bowling Green State University in 2012.
